Introduction: 3-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane is a trimethoxysilane with a significantly faster hydrolysis rate than triethoxysilane KH-550, providing faster reaction and curing speeds. However, its hydrolysis reaction produces methanol as a byproduct, resulting in slightly lower environmental friendliness.

Applications: 3-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane can be used as an additive or formulated into primers for coatings, inks, adhesives, and sealants containing phenolic, urea-formaldehyde, furan, polyurethane, silicone, epoxy, nitrile, and acrylic resins. It improves the adhesion, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, water resistance, and scrub resistance of resin coatings, extends their service life, and improves the dispersion and binding of pigments and fillers in the resin phase.
