Description: Adenosine 5'-monophosphate, white crystals. mp 196-200℃ (decomposes). Specific rotation -47.5° (20℃, 2% in 2% sodium hydroxide). Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether.
Applications: Adenosine 5'-monophosphate can be used as an intermediate in the production of nucleic acid drugs, in health foods, and as a biochemical reagent. It is also used in the manufacture of biochemical drugs such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP).
