Applications: SILVER DIETHYLDITHIOCARBAMATE is used as a colorimetric reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of trace arsenic. It is also used for the spectrophotometric determination of antimony. It binds to Fe2+ to detect NO in the brain, kidney, liver, and other tissues, while simultaneously directly measuring NO and pO2; as a copper chelating agent, it is also used for the ESR-based quantitative analysis of copper in biological materials; arsenic reagents are also inhibitors of superoxide dismutase, ascorbic acid oxidase, and other enzymes. It inhibits macrophage NO synthase.
