Products Description
Betaine is an alkaloid widely found in plants and animals. Its chemical name is N,N,N-trimethylglycine, and its chemical structure is similar to glycine. It belongs to the quaternary ammonium base class and has the molecular formula C5H11NO2. It was first discovered in sugar beets in the 19th century, primarily in the sugars of beet sugars, hence its name. Studies have found that betaine can be used alone or in combination with bortezomib in the treatment of multiple myeloma (MM). It has an inhibitory effect on the progression of multiple myeloma and is of great significance for basic research and clinical treatment of multiple myeloma.

Application
Betaine is a quaternary ammonium alkaloid. Anhydrous betaine is a novel fine chemical with wide applications in food, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, printing and dyeing, and chemical industries. Anhydrous betaine is a highly efficient and high-quality nutritional additive. Pharmaceutical-grade betaine can be used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, juice industries, and dental materials. It is also used in the fermentation industry. Anhydrous betaine has effects such as improving eyesight, combating fatty liver, protecting the kidneys, and treating cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis; it is used in health foods. Due to its moderate taste and colorless nature, anhydrous betaine has wide applications in the food and beverage industries. It is also used in weight-loss and beauty foods. Betaine is used as an additive in daily chemical products.

Storage and transportation
Betaine Storage:
Temperature: It is recommended to store in a refrigerator at 2-8℃, which can maintain stability for at least one month.
Moisture and Light Protection: Betaine is hygroscopic; prolonged exposure to air will reduce its content. Therefore, it should be stored in a sealed container and protected from direct sunlight.
Environmental Requirements: The storage room should be cool, well-ventilated, away from fire, heat, and water sources, and stored separately from oxidizers.
Safety Measures: Equip with fire-fighting equipment and spill response equipment. Wear gloves, lab coats, and safety goggles during handling to avoid direct contact or inhalation of dust.
