Introduction: Dyclonine hydrochloride appears as a white crystalline powder with a slightly odorous taste and a numbing sensation. It is slightly soluble in water, and soluble in ethanol, acetone, chloroform, and water at 60°C. It is stable in air, but decomposes upon heating, turning the solution cloudy and precipitating an oily substance. Store in a tightly closed container, protected from light.
Applications: Dyclonine hydrochloride is used for burns, abrasions, pruritus, insect bites, ulcers, bedsores, hemorrhoids, etc., and is also used for urethral and oral mucosal anesthesia.
