Products Description

Sulfamic acid is a colorless, odorless, and non-toxic solid strong acid. Its aqueous solution exhibits the same strong acid properties as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, but its corrosiveness to metals is much lower. It has very low toxicity to humans, but prolonged skin contact should be avoided, and it must not get into the eyes. Due to its strong acid properties, it is also called solid sulfuric acid. It can replace sulfuric acid in the production of highly pure, room-temperature stable crystals, making its packaging, storage, and transportation convenient. Solid aminosulfonic acid is stable at dry room temperature, non-hygroscopic, non-volatile, soluble in water, and ionizes in aqueous solution, exhibiting moderate acidity. It can be used as an acid standard solution in alkali titration. It is slightly soluble or insoluble in organic solvents, sparingly soluble in ether, and soluble in liquid nitrogen, ethanol, formamide, and acetone.

Application

Sulfamic acid is an important fine chemical product, widely used in various industrial equipment manufacturing for metals and ceramics, as well as in domestic cleaning agents, petroleum treatment agents and cleaning agents, electroplating agents, electrochemical polishing agents, asphalt emulsifiers, etching agents, sulfonating agents for the dye, pharmaceutical and pigment industries, dyeing agents, high-efficiency bleaching agents, flame retardants for fibers and paper, softeners, resin crosslinking accelerators, softeners for paper and textiles, herbicides, anti-drying agents, and as a primary standard and standard analytical reagent in analytical chemistry for acid titration. Calcium aminosulfonate is used to control wheat rust, among other applications.

Storage and transportation

Storage Environment: Aminosulfonic acid should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, avoiding contact with oxidizing agents, reducing agents, and other chemicals.

Container Management: Keep containers tightly closed. Opened containers must be carefully resealed and stored upright to prevent leakage.

Safety Measures: The storage area should be equipped with spill response equipment and suitable containment materials to deal with potential leaks.
